These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Devesh Duptala, an individual based in New Zealand ("Yoink", "we", "us"), governing your use of the Yoink mobile app and related services (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Yoink is a screen-time game you play with friends: you block apps you choose, share a pool of minutes with your squad, and earn minutes back through real-world activity. It is a self-directed tool you control on your own device, not a medical, parental-control or device-management product, and we don't promise any particular result.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Yoink and capable of forming a binding contract. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm your parent or guardian permits your use.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions / Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA"), which apply in addition to these Terms. Where these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA governs the license of the App.
You sign in with Sign in with Apple, Google, or your phone number (via a one-time passcode). You are responsible for your account and your device. Don't impersonate others or use someone else's number or account without permission.
You agree not to:
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Chat is filtered for objectionable language, any member can report a message, and we review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
Strict Mode is an optional squad round. Nothing changes on your phone unless you opt in yourself, after seeing the end date. While you're in, you can't delete apps from that device (including Yoink) until the round ends or the host ends it. Leaving the squad or deleting your account lifts it immediately.
Screen-time "minutes", streaks, the "pool", and similar items are virtual, in-game items for entertainment only. They have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are not your property. We may adjust, reset, or remove in-game items and balances as part of running the game. Places on the weekly squad leaderboard carry no prize and no real-world value, and we may remove a squad from it, for example for an objectionable name or results that appear tampered with.
Yoink offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock premium features ("Premium"):
Some earlier versions sold Group access as the Squad Pass (weekly or annual); it works the same way as Premium Group, and both are called a "Group plan" below.
Leaderboard places and squad awards are bragging rights only. We don't currently run prizes, raffles or sweepstakes; if we ever do, we'll publish official rules first, no purchase will be needed, and Apple will not be a sponsor.
We are actively developing Yoink. We may add, change, or remove features (including premium features), or change pricing for future purchases, and may discontinue the App. We'll act reasonably and comply with Apple's rules for any subscription changes.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that earnings, shields, notifications, or screen-time controls will always work as intended. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yoink (Devesh Duptala) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim, or NZ$50, whichever is greater.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (Profile → Settings (gear icon) → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. 6, 8, 10, 11, 13) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer-law rights in your country of residence.

The App, including its name, fox mascot, design and software, belongs to Yoink or its licensors. These Terms let you use it; they don't give you ownership, and you may not copy, reverse-engineer or make derivative works from it except where the law allows. Third-party software and marks in the App belong to their owners (see https://www.yoinktime.com/acknowledgements); Yoink isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.
What you write in Yoink (names, labels, chat messages) stays yours; you let us store, filter and show it to your squad so the game and its safety tools work. A public squad can be found and joined by other players. To report something that infringes your rights, email support@yoinktime.com.
